after Sharon arrived in the Marseille airport at noon, we drove to the village of Maussane,
got our bicycle out and started riding north and west toward les Baux

just north of les Baux the road enters the Val d'Enfer -- "valley of hell"

after going thru the village of St Remy, we head east under the canopy of tree branches
 

the mountain chain of Alpilles in late afternoon -- we rode across one of their lower dips
